In Aug we went to Indiana to visit the family. The girls had a blast with their friends, cousins, uncles, grandmie, and grandpie. We went to the beach, played at the park, swam with friends, drove the car, jumped on the trampoline, and just enjoyed the beautiful weather. We loved our time there....

Craft idea...
Here is a artsy project you might want to try with kiddos. Lilli and Abbi loved it. Sorry, I put the pics in opposite order starting with the end first. Scroll down for Step 1...Enjoy!
Here they are together...
Happy 4th weekend...
We have been out of town for the last 8 weekends now! Crazy how busy the summer months go. We have attended 3 weddings (California, Spokane, Seattle), one funeral:(, Bend, camping, and we will fly to Indiana in a few weeks to see my family. Here are some pics from our wedding in Spokane, WA. The girls were the flower girls...oh I wish I could of gotten it on camera their march down the aisle. Picture Lilli with her arms crossed and a big fat frown on her face! They both were exhausted by the time the wedding started---5:30pm. But, they did look cute!

Medford
This past May Josh lost his grandfather Hank to a brain tumor. It has been a difficult time for the family and we will miss him dearly. We traveled down to Medford for a memorial service with the family. My parents were in town as well, so they came along with us. The girls were thrilled to have two sets of grandparents in the same location for a day. We had a great time remembering Hank and spending time with Grandma Ethel. The trip was also bittersweet since we had to say goodbye to Aunt Steph and Uncle Ry-Ry. They left this last week for a two-year trip to Mongolia for the peace-corps. We will miss you guys!

Palm Springs...an adventure!
During May we headed down to Palm Springs for a nice, relaxing vacation/family wedding with the Hackbarth family. Upon our arrival Abbi seemed a little under the weather. By the eve of the wedding she was vomiting and had a high fever. We stayed up with her all night and figured it was a 24 hr bug that would go away the next day. The next day she was still pretty exhausted, but with Abbi it's always hard to know how serious things are since she just gets pretty quiet when she's not feeling well. By the wedding night she continued to have a fever and was not responding to typical otc meds. We decided to take her into the ER to at least get her checked for dehydration. Once we got there it turned into a 6 day visit! Abbi had severe bacterial pneumonia. She was treated with two types of antibiotics and respiratory therapy. So, our vacation was not so much a vacation after all! I don't even like looking at these pics because it makes me feel bad how sick she was:( Seeing your kids hurting is just horrible. Fortunately, she was able to make a full recovery and is now back to her usual goofy self. The adventures of parenting continues until next time...

An long awaited updated....
Lara, Emma, and I
I see you!
It's been awhile. I found out in Feb that I'm pregnant with our third ---now we know it's another girl! Yeah! So, needless to say I've been a little neglectful of updating posts. Here are a few pics from my bday back in April. The girls and I went to Salem to the children's museum and met up with my best friend Lara. (She has three children as well). Later that evening we had a few friends over for dinner...Happy Birthday to me!
